What's this battery look like, Got a photo? There's a thread on spare wheel where i got the kit for the B4 mild hybrid, but your battery is probably larger.

I was a bit surprised to see this in the boot , i have seen a pic online of a recharge that has the factory fitted spare over the battery and I'm hoping somebody on here has managed to fit an aftermarket one in the same space

Call me old fashioned but I prefer the concept of the mildest of all hybrids - i.e. a zero % hybrid aka pure petrol or diesel with no need for any chunky weighty battery storage. No 112mph top speed limit either. 😂😂😂

Mines a "pure" diesel (D4), that's limited to 112mph too, think its more the build date, than the power train. I've yet to experience the limiter working, but I can hitch the caravan up next week, so will test it out, best make sure it works eh? 😳😳

Actually, have you even checked, I think yours might be restricted too, if you bought it new🤔🤔🤔😳😳?

ALL Volvos now have the 112mph limiter as standard. It's not specific to the XC40

I would like to think some of the Polestar versions might not have this but can't find anything to confirms that on the Volvo website

All I can find is:

Speed cap
To send a strong signal about the dangers of speeding, we reduced the top speed of all our new cars to 112 mph in 2020. We are also looking at how smart speed control and geofencing technology could automatically limit speeds near schools and hospitals in the future.

OK back to OP, i'm surprised your battery is so exposed. Here's mine

The official spare wheel and kit i bought fits upside down over the battery and my biggest concern would be the exposed terminal and wires i can see in yours.

Your battery is also a lot further back than mine.

Yup, as I understand it, it's all MY21 cars, except ones built for the emergency services. 🚔🚔
