Polestar Engineered - a new variation to come?

With thanks to jamie307 for first flagging up the XC40 MY22 price list and therefore configurations .... I thought a new separate Polestar thread may be appropriate .... being aware that Polestar is probably overall a minor interest in this forum.

I noted that there was no longer any mention of the Polestar software optimisation update in the new MY22 price list. Maybe just a time lag until it is made available for MY22 engines?

But - having gone to look at the MY22 XC60 price list ....

https://assets.volvocars.com/uk/~/media ... f?la=en-gb

.... we find the XC60 Polestar model which is available in the UK. Not R-Design, not Inscription nor Momentum but an “XC60 Polestar Engineered” - a Recharge T8 Plug-in hybrid building on the R-Design Pro spec.

Much more than software optimisation, it includes brake & chassis upgrades and gold seat belts!

Might this “model” be something that could appear in the XC40 range next?

I see there are also similar V60 and S60 models now listed.

So something like an XC40 P8 but with upgraded brakes (maybe with gold callipers) and chassis and gold seatbelts but perhaps a full blown Polestar rather than just a software tweak

I wonder what such a thing might look like :)

Pretty sure I saw an XC60 like that, when I was at the showroom ordering my car, in February last year. The gold seat belts, polestar model badging etc, pretty sure it was somewhere around £60 k. Looked good, stood out, but seemed a lot for fancy seatbelts 😁

I configured one up to around £67k! Surely the 2 badges and seat belts justify the cost?

Getting close to one of those boring shaped saloons but more solid and brick like?
