I have the rubber mats; the small mat goes on the drivers side. I think they work well. I don't think any mats I've had over many years have covered the footrest.
Yes I have checked them again and the heel pad on the smaller mat gives it away. Will take pics tomorrow Boomer - both ways to illustrate.
I’m still looking for a boot liner solution. Would you take a picture of the boot liner too please PJM,. I thought from watching the video that it would be able to be rolled or folded back to reveal the bag hooks?
Also, the rubber boot liner comes in two versions, one that is specifically for the folding floor but I think one of the other posts here (can’t find it now) says you still cannot use the bag hooks with it installed. On the video it looks to have two folds as though it could be folded back. Anyone know the truth?
Here are 2 pics of the mats the “wrong” way round.
Two XC40s - so far! Inscription Pro T5 AWD Auto - Glacier Silver/Blond/21”, fully loaded, from Jan thro Sep 2021. Polestarred. Also one of the first FEs - a D4 AWD Auto - Bursting Blue/Charcoal/20" from Mar thro Aug 2018. Also Polestarred.
And 2 pics of what we assume is the right way round.
I will take some cargo liner pics later.

Just wondering whether it would be necessary to cut 3 small slits in the fold of the cargo liner to facilitate the bag hooks - I remember in my previous Seat Leon ST, I had to make a couple of cut outs in the side of the load liner in order to use the body mounted load hooks - just a thought?

Here are a selection of pics of the reversible textile/plastic liner with bumper cover. Not compatible with the folding floor. It’s either/or.

Thanks for pics PJM. The liner looks very good but as you say it’s either or. Looks Mitch better value than the rubber liner option which is the same price.
Thanks pjm. Rather surprised that they seem to “work” either way round. Only giveaway/downside to the wrong way is the heel piece/padding. Ummm... food for thought. I’m probably going for the mats in absence of any fitted aftermarket alternatives being available at this stage. Thanks again.

Yes agreed. The larger mat just clips/covers the bottom of the driver's foot rest, but then so does the proper driver's mat. What i haven't done is driven the car with the mats the wrong way round to see if the mat extension interferes with the pedal travel and thereby potentially compromises safety.

So...... Assuming that there is no compromise of safety, the answer is to purchase two sets of the mats! BINGO
