Service report

I collected the car from its first service this week. My regular Norwich dealership returned it to me, as always, not just cleaned but in showroom condition. Very pleasing, but not so cheering was a report that all brake pads (front and rear) show 20% wear after less than 4k miles. I hope this won't be a linear progression!

Mine had first service yesterday. 4400 miles and report said brakes 10% worn.

Lucky to get 20k miles these days out of pads and discs.
Softer materials make for better braking but more wear.

It would be really helpful if Volvo built this information into a software algorithm. Obviously, it’s not set in stone but it would give drivers some sort of indication on brake lining wear.
