Hi all,
I am wondering if the Panoramic roof can block 100% of the sun, from what I saw in some video it is only about 80-90%.

Any info will be really appreciated.

Cheers from the sunny Cyprus

Well it isn't a complete blackout blind, but I couldn't put a figure on it. Actually there hasn't been much sun trying to get through it :D

Haven't seen enough of the sun to know how much gets through the sun roof but when I do I'll be opening it as quick as I can.

Thanks for the input guys.

Seems I need to wait to see (feel) how does it handle the Cypriot sun and heat (38+) during summer.....

I'm so close to order this beauty and this is a big unknown....

I live in sunny singapore with hot sun temps upto 35C...so the blind isnt blackout..more of 85% with some visible light coming in...will be installing premium uv solar film to at least block out heat.

Thanks treestar,
that sounds like an alternative but would prefer if volvo provides some other solution for countries with high temperatures like ours...

Some more questions:

Did anyone notice any noise/sound intrusion through or caused by the Panoramic roof or its shade?

How does it compare with a car not having one in terms of noise/sound?

Thanks

I would guess cars without the pano roof woukd be quieter due to thicker insulation and more metal estate instead of glass?

Depends how good insulation is hailstones much louder on metal than glass
My last car I test drive both pano and standard roofs and for me there was no contest with the benefit of light into the cabin area. But a fixed glass roof would have done for me as they are very noisy when open at any speed
