No data on torque for either if that is important to your needs. Gut feel is that is not going to be a sports car, but should get you up to speeds needed (not sure if it is the wallow but the car does feel that there is a lot of mass to move even with a T5)_ but it will be comfortable.
T3 is 156 @ 5000rpm, 265Nm @ 1850-3850rpm, 0-62mph 9.4s.
D3 is 150hp @ 3750rpm, 320Nm @ 1750-3000rpm, 0-62mph 9.8/10.2s (man/auto).
Cancelled after waiting 3 months to be told delivery will take 11 months.

I guess time will tell. Looking at the 'What Car' review of the Countryman it does suggest that the 1.5 engine struggled and the XC40 is 100 kg heavier at it's minimum kerb weight!
It does however produce a bit more power so let's see what happens when there's one available to test drive.....

I always take these reviews with a pinch of salt to be honest.
When I had the Countryman for a few days I didn't feel as though it struggled at all on the motorway or on steep hills. At any speed in the Countryman there was a lot of wind and road noise and I think because of this I found myself creeping up towards 90 a couple of times, after that I just turned on the absolutely abysmal stereo to slightly muffle the road noise and put the cruise control on.
