Hi all,
Well, we have had the car now about 10 months, and I am overall pretty happy.
One thing that is concerning me are the blind spots and rear view, twice now I have nearly had serious accidents, once was pulling back into an inside lane on the motorway when a car was in the blind spot on the inside of me, and the same again when pulling over into the fast lane.
Both occasions left me shook up, I have NEVER had a car with such bad blind spots/vision in the rear view mirror.
For a brand that prides itself on safety I feel the blinds spots are verging on dangerous.
Anyone else have an opinion on this? or a similar experience?
Cheers.
Blind spots.
I have the blind spot warning feature but I find the excellent wing mirror coverage means the blind spot is very small and I have yet to be surprised by a car coming out of it.

Your right gray'69, at least it has trained me to use wing mirrors pretty much exclusively now. As skyrimmer says the wing mirrors are good.

Even though I have BLIS I find the mirrors to be the best of any car I have had.
Vehicles approaching from rear are visible in rear view mirror, then both rear view and side mirrors then finally side mirrors only.
Even though I think BLIS is a useful feature, I have to be honest and say I wouldn't feel any less safe without it.
To summarize, I personally feel that this is the first and only car I have driven that seems to have no blind spots.

I agree that the rear view mirror is a bit limited but then I use the wing mirrors for lane changing and they are very good.
I also suffered with the lack of rear visibility during my first test-drive, but I was lucky to be recommended the folding headrest option before ordering the car. Helps a lot, I use it all the time.
