Mine was factory-fitted with Conti EcoContact 6 (235/55 R18) and changed to Michelin CrossClimate SUV. I’m very pleased with the CrossClimate, but the latest all season SUV tire test from ADAC made me decide to switch to Primacy 4 and use CrossClimate only in winter, my concern being CrossClimate’s +6,5 m breaking distance in dry-warm conditions, see picture attached and test result here: https://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Article/ ... e-Test.htm
Which tyres??
Yeah, tyres are always about compromise and often simply down to preferences.
I have another car that is primarily on the drive for warm dry conditions and it's done 655 miles between MOTs (admittedly during lockdown too). I feel comfortable with the Crossclimates, on a 2 tonne car in whatever weather is going, without having the hassle of the twice yearly wheel swap.
