Hi
Yes could have gone higher off centre or by removing sticker ( which looked a pain )
Hardly can be seen in r v mirror
Guy came to my house to fit charged £60 which I thought was very reasonable and not worth attempting it myself for that money.

Yeh - not too bad an obstruction. Those rear camera's always look bigger closer up. (stupid statement but hopefully you know what I mean).

Prompts me to check that my dealer hasn't done similar (I forgot to look) but they did plaster an "tax disc" type holder on the windscreen which was a bugger to remove - but is now gone. It's removal improved line of sight.

I may have missed it elsewhere Michaelxc40 but can you advise dash cam manufacturer and model.

Perhaps if my dealer had this installed he wouldn’t have pranged my car.......the other tech stuff clearly didn’t work!

I got the Thinkware f800 pro 2 camera system
Jd very good day and night picture quality
Can be hard wired permanently and record 24 /7 and shuts down if it detects car batter below a pre set level

You might want to take a look at these forums before going for the F800...

Can you be a little more specific, I don't fancy reading through a whole forum!

Thanks for the info. will do some research, it looks a tidy install too.

There are a number of complaints about missing features and some reliability problems. I didn't read all of the forum myself but I got the jist from a scan of the thread titles...

No dashcam is perfect. There are good ones around sub £100 and some rubbish ones around > £300. I took a great deal of time deciding on the dashcams for my current car, looking at lots of the forums. Best bang for your buck I found was the Viofo A119. It had a few issues at the start but the manufacturer fixed those with a few firmware updates and all has been well since. Excellent picture quality and no reliability issues. It's about £89 for the one with GPS, I fitted them back and front.

Do a search on YouTube for "techmoan dash cam reviews", he does good reviews and explains what you should be looking for...
