Picked my new car up this morning and dealer said similar to some of you that the orange key had full functionality with the abilty to also limit the top speed, he seemed quite sure about this. I have not had a chance to try it out yet. One option for those with two regular drivers is give one of them the orange key maybe. It can be then setup how they want it. It wont have different profiles but will still function as a single profile key unless I have completely misunderstood.

After confirming with Volvo Germany:
- It is the same here in Germany: Only one full transponder Key

But Volvo discussed with my dealer today and Volvo takes the additional costs for the 2nd transponder key.

That's really good customer service!

The orange key doesn’t keep the driver seat position in memory

Correct, the orange key is the so called "Care Key". You need to order a 2nd "Normal" Transponder Key as I did now.

OK it doesn't set position on the key but you can program Driver Profile 2 via the touch screen and its a couple of presses to change the profile positions for the additional driver.

I know, but that‘s not what i want: I just want to automatically preload all settings the respective driver has set up without manually selecting a profile.

So much easier with manual seats!
I just reach under the seat and move it.

Was posting in another thread about keys so thought I would also post here as the main thread on "Care" Keys.

My wife has been using the care key for a week and just told me she never has to press a button to set her seat, as soon as she opens the door with the care key the seat moves.

I've just been out to check and she is 100% correct. Black Key open the door and seat moves. Orange Key open the door and the seat moves.

I think all you have to do is use the Orange Key which automatically assigns profile 2 and as long as you setup the car and manually save your settings on the sensus screen for Driver Profile 2 they will remain as the orange key is used.

There just isn't an option to save profile 2 to a key, but the orange key is automatically profile 2.

Seriously stop fretting over the Orange Key it works the same.

This is a completely other information I've got directly from Volvo: You can't assign the orange Care Key a profile - It should have a "Guest" Profile.
Interesting - nevertheless they will provide me two "normal" keys in addition to the Care Key and the Key Tag.
