Sound system

I always switch off the sound system before switching off the engine when I garage the car. But, when I start the engine next time, the sound system starts on its own and plays whatever I was playing last. I would prefer to make the decision to switch on the sound system myself, when I prefer, rather than have it done automatically whether I want it or not.
I have searched the manual and can find no answer or setting to do this. Am I missing something?

I'm confused. You say you switch off the sound system but.......how?

I don't think you can turn it off. However, you can pause whatever is playing and, on my car at least, it stays paused when you turn ignition back on.

I agree with Silver Moose.
About 90% sure (without going and checking) that if the system is paused before ignition off, it stays that way on the next start.

Have you tried a long press on the middle of the volume button to see if that closes down the screen/radio?
