No 12v socket in boot of my 19 T4 R.
I need one and do not want wire trailing from dash. Dealer quotes £188 to fit one. Genuine Volvo parts of course
Phoned a couple of nearby Volvo specialists who have not got back.
Any ideas without voiding warranty? I have a dealer fitted retractable tow bar which is switched in the boot.
Thanks.
Lawrie
12v socket boot
I don't think there would be unless the Convenience pack had been specified in the build.
If you don't want the warranty voided I doubt you've got much choice other than to have a Volvo dealer install.

Volvo once offered a kit of parts and instructions for installing a 12v socket in the boot of the V40 but I find the link on the web is no longer operative.

Update,
I thought I might shop around for a price from two other nearby Volvo dealers.
First one said “can’t be done“
Second told me I already had one. When I assured him I did not he got back later and said it was a new one on them and it might cost over £300.
I just had this done by my original quote of £188 and they have done an excellent job.
Had to bite the bullet. I’m sure there was a homemade solution but wary about voiding the warranty
