Tailgate Buttons 1 or 2

The Manual for my late 2020 Inscription shows two buttons for closing the tailgate - one to close and one to close and lock. Mine only has the close button and a blank, is that now the norm?
It appears to mean that you can only lock the boot when you lock the car, is that correct?

Only there if you have Keyless locking.

close and lock, locks the entire car. It's not a special boot lock. It's useful when everyones out of the car, boot is emptied and then I can lock it (since the key is in my pocket) from the button and walk away over then having to zap it.
