I cant quite work it out. on my Audi it came up after two hours non stop driving which made sense. However on XC40 it seems random. Is it related to wandering between lanes as it does seem to only happen on motorways when I have been pulling out to overtake and then back?
Yes Salmonfisher if the car thinks you are driving erratically based on steering wheel movements it will warn you as it thinks you maybe tired. I had this a couple of times earlier during the year during the floods picking my way around deep puddles
Indeed, in an Audi a similar alert comes up after two hours non stop driving. It’s somewhat more complicated in a Volvo : whenever the car senses that your driving becomes erratic the DAC (Driver Alert Control) warning comes up (at speeds above 60 km/h or 40 mph, staying active as long as the speed is above 60 km/h or 37 mph).Salmonfisher wrote: ↑Fri Jun 19, 2020 3:20 pm I cant quite work it out. on my Audi it came up after two hours non stop driving which made sense. By the way, you can activate or deactivate the DAC in Settings → My Car →Intellisafe → Driver Alert Control.

Yeah, disable it, then you can drive badly all day long with a silly message coming up!Moss wrote: ↑Fri Jun 19, 2020 6:19 pmIndeed, in an Audi a similar alert comes up after two hours non stop driving. R Design Pro T5 AWD in Crystal White. Convenience Pack, Front Parking and Apple Car. Couldn’t afford anything else!! Arriving late September 2019.
Sincere thanks for the advice, but I prefer leaving the DAC activated.Dermottdog wrote: ↑Fri Jun 19, 2020 8:09 pmYeah, disable it, then you can drive badly all day long with a silly message coming up!Moss wrote: ↑Fri Jun 19, 2020 6:19 pmIndeed, in an Audi a similar alert comes up after two hours non stop driving. If I would drive badly all day long, chances are that the Belgian of French police deactivate me for a few months as a driver…. That would be even sillier than messsages coming up.
