Hi, can anyone recommend a good product for cleaning the exterior plastic (other than soap and water)
Thanks Mark
Cleaning the exterior plastic
I wash the plastics with the same shampoo as the rest of the car, for me I find Dodo Juice born to be mild a great shampoo. Then every couple of washes I give the plastics a wipe over with a small amount of Gtechniq T1 on a sponge pad then buff it up.
This keeps the plastic black and silky.

As above post. I find it’s not the cleaning of the black plastic that’s the problem. It’s more like that the black starts to fade and becomes discoloured. So it’s washed with normal good quality car shampoo, dried and treated with a protective layer. I’ve used the Gtechniq product in the picture and although the results are good, it’s far to expensive to be viable as it comes in a bottle not much bigger than average nail varnish size. So my ‘go to’ plastic protector is the Auto Finesse Revive product shown. It goes on easy, wipes off easy and gives a smooth surface that dispels water. Been using it for years.
