Hello All - My First Post

Ordered a FE T5 (2019-MY) 9 days ago (the very last day you could order one); On Monday popped back into the dealers because I had no spec sheet for the FE as it had been pulled from the website.
So they printed me off a bang up to date Price&Spec sheet for the whole XC40 range (MY2019 - Edition2).
And it clearly states under Variant Features: R-Design PRO & Inscription PRO - ACTIVE BENDING HEADLIGHTS WITH ADAPTIVE SHADOW TECHNOLOGY
So it looks like Volvo either can't be bothered to change their spec sheets or they do intend to fit these headlights?????
Maybe they like giving away £300 worth of toys?

Thats very interesting Chris. The online price & spec sheet (MY2019 - Edition 2) simply says “Active Bending Headlights”, and of course there is no FE in there any longer. I wonder why a printed version would differ from the online? Have you seen an actual feature code for the headlights in question?

Could the printed one be “MY2018 and MY2019 Edition 2” which dates from December? That version did include the AST description.

My dealer informed me that if he could order AST lights even as a warranty replacement then he absolutely would, but they (as of last week) just don't exist for the XC40,
Keep us updated though, nothing surprises me anymore aha.

PJM have you had much luck with VCUK?

MrP - thanks for sharing. I wonder why the XC40 doesn't have this as an alternative. Is it cost saving or I am just now wondering whether they aren't happy with the technology and it's not as reliable as they had hoped?

My Price and Spec sheet has no date, but it probably is the MY18 &MY19 Edition 2, so whilst it may be up to date, it certainly isn't newly revised if it dates back to Dec18 mmmmmm.

So do people think we will get "Active bending headlights" with the FE spec. If so are these the type which can stay on main beam even if oncoming traffic is approaching?

If it’s that Edition then no - it’s not up to date. See previous thread entries. FEs are definitely not coming with AST unless someone has struck lucky as an exception.

So much for my dealers freshly printed spec/price sheet he gave me on the 16th March, it looks like its 3 months out of date???
That is very disappointing, particularly as I had started querying other bits relating to specs.

The top left of the front page should show the Edition number.

Yes Edition2 ,but no date anywhere that I can see.
So it would seem it's 3 months out of date (info from page 1 of this thread)
