Just wondering have any forum members seen a XC40 on the UK roads yet?

I have yet to spot any in Belfast other than the launch models at the dealership :(

Picked up my FE T5 last Friday, replacing my wife’s Audi A3 diesel quattro. Must say it’s the most comfortable car i’ve driven. Excellent ride (19 inch wheels from choice) and very refined engine. I have a Range Sport and the T5 feels equally quick and refined. The steering feels just right and very accurate. Did my first run up the A1 this afternoon and was amazed how relaxed the car felt. The infotainment works well and the Volvo App works a treat. I suspect the only downside will be the poor fuel consumption (worse than the 3.0 diesel in the Range Sport!) and the ridiculously small fuel tank ........the range will probably be half that of the diesel versions.

Is there much lag from the T5 turbo when pulling out of junctions? I tested a D4 on Monday (but have a T5 on order) and the lag was comparable with my Freelander 2 which meant you have to pretty much floor it to get going.

I followed one yesterday in Chesterfield (Derbyshire) - Exact copy of what I've ordered except was a D4 rather than T5....

chingfOrd, Tested a T5 and it didn't feel that there was that much lag pulling away for the line and wasn't conscious that I was flooring it to get underway. Possibly comfort might gained that I see that the 0-60 is 6.2 sec for the T5, and some of that must depend on getting going in the first place.

It's no sports car, but equally felt that it was quite nippy and responsive for the size. The auto box much better than past volvo we have had.
