Clicking noise from dash - passenger side

Hi
My XC40 has just started making a clockwork like clicking noise intermittently but only when the fan is on. The noise happens for about 10 seconds and then disappears. It then repeats at random intervals. It only does it when the fan is on. The noise is coming from behind the glove box.
Any ideas anyone?
