Here you find one, I also checked the angle of the USB A (console plugin), it’s turning the cable to the right so it fits perfectly

I've found that using right-angled USB A plugs mean that you may not need to use the special hook that Lipster found (of course, your mileage may vary, depending on the size of the right angle, which direction it hangs the cable out etc.

As far as I know,
all XC40’s have that little clip, not just the ones with a charging pad. And by the way, a little lower you’ll find a (somewhat hidden) bank card holder.

Unfortunately my short, curly lead doesn't fit into the clip. What were Volvo thinking, could they not design a better clip that would accommodate straight and curly.
I may have to take it in for service and see what the dealer says.

Perhaps Volvo were thinking that people with a curly lead can very easily partly uncurl the lead so that the clip accomodates it.
However, those people may indeed prefer to take it in for service and see what the dealer says.

Maybe the service department has a "curly lead uncurling device" they could use, {or mebbe an iron?).
