Did anybody use it?

That’s a service allowing to share map coordinates with the car via VolvoID / VIN

For some reason I got an error from here.com, maybe that’s something transient

But I wonder, if it will ‘send’, where will I see these coordinates
- in android auto?
- internet map?

Use the VOC a app to send map coordinates to car, that is if you have VOC.

We don't have it yet, maybe in the future.
Which component in the car receives the coordinates?

The onboard map. If you’re using android auto, just search on your phone the normal way, plug your phone into the car, job done.

You mean the [paid option] Volvo Navigation component?

The 'feature' was to mark the places on the map while at home, send them to car, and then save some time inside the car by immediately using the saved points

so you say that anyway this option only works with the Volvo Navigation

I’m not aware of how this would work with Here.com. It works from the on call app, and sends to the car. Which maps would you expect it to link to if not Volvo’s? In the UK, all versions come with navigation anyway, unless they’ve changed it for MY20

Send to Car used to work well from both Windows 10 and Android on my XC60. It is a very useful feature as it allows searching for destinations from a large screen. The Volvo on Call setup is good but a big screen with a wider area of search is much easier to use.
When used recently it recognises car and password but states there is a fault on the Here site.
I hope we get in back.

I thought the VOC came as standard? I’ve not received my car yet so I’m not sure.

In UK maybe, in other parts of the world it is pending regulation approval, or whatever.

Researched it further and Windows Phone 'Volvo on Call App' works in Windows 10 and sends to car. Fine

I notice Windows 10 app uses Here and Windows 'Volvo on Call' Maps is powered by Google. Perhaps change of supplier recently.

Age is catching up with me which is why I find sitting at a desk when route planning is easier.
