Having been to Norway twice in the last 2 months, I can report having seen ONE XC40 in Trondheim, and that's all. And no, I wasn't on a luxury cruise!
Seems they are experiencing the same problems as the UK. LOADS 111of Tesla as TAXIS, owing to their taxation structure.
We must simply "hang on"! Or join Norway our nearest sane neighbours.................

I'm wondering if I might be the last person to be getting a First Edition in the country.

I've been told build date is 9th Nov and the car should be in the UK 15th Nov with delivery to dealership shortly after.

Well it’s finally arrived & currently in the compound - I can expect a call tomorrow to sort out my delivery date.
I really hope it’s been worth the wait!!

My delivery was for the end of March, start of April but had a call from the dealer to say the car will be ready 30th of Jan 2019 so over the moon if this comes to fruition.
My original order date was August 1st 2018

Great news for you !

But i still don't understand how it's sometimes possible.
My order date was June 1st and delivery for February.
The dealer said the heated seats or windscreen could introduce a couple months delay.
But i see you have ordered both heated S/W and you will get the car sooner.
This is unfair

Our Inscription has recently been delayed 3-4 weeks (approx 2 months after its original target delivery date). Had a build week of 16th Oct. Now due to finish build Wed 14th Nov (hopeful!). Dealer thought delay was due to heated windscreen. Ordered mid May so delivery seems in-line with others.

Those of you that have their cars are lucky. I have just been told that for those cars ordered in May as yet no build dates have been allocated. and it is only POSSIBLE that Volvo will allocate build dates in January!!!!!
Original build date - October, then slipped to November and now January, Really! - Volvo have got this wrong in a big way. The car had better be worth it if it ever arrives.

One good thing has come out of the wait. I originally had a trade in price for my XC60 (MY10). Last Monday I discovered wizzle.co.uk. Out of interest I inputted the car details and within 45 minutes had an asking price offer. Over £1500 over the trade in price offered. So I let the car go, money in the bank within 1 day (before I let it go). Wizzle is worth a look for those of you trading in.

Luckily, I have access to another car so can manage until the XC40 appears.

Hi Tom, when in May did you order? Mine was done early May and I’ve got it now. You’re dealer sounds dodgy!

Ordered on the 10th May. As you can guess I am getting fed up with the wait. I ordered through a broker (New Car Discount) part of a large car finance organisation, so they have purchasing power, or one would think so!
