Great news: I think the first D3 in UK and also for Italy. Please, give your impression about this engine as you can.

D3 R-Design - that must be a pretty rare beast in the UK at the moment (maybe the first?) - hope you enjoy it.

Good to have an email from my dealer this weekend to ask if there is anything they can do for me and to let me know my September delivery date is still on track, makes a change for them to contact a customer by reading some of the posts on here

Yes! Don't think there's been many so far.

Is that the manual or automatic? I'd be very interested to know how you get on with it, got a D3 manual Inscription Pro on order but only driven a couple of D4s so far.

Thanks Balmoral! Yes, that's what I was thinking too as not seen any real mention of anything other than FE R-Designs to date and/or D3 in general.

It's a manual. Will share some thoughts once I've had some time with it. Thanks mrwinch too for comment and likewise will feedback once I've done a bit of mileage over next few weeks.

Sounds like you've got a good proactive dealer. Doesn't take much for them to pop customers an email every 1-2 months

Good news for all waiting..
There is a letter from Volvo Netherlands to the Dutch dealers that state the following.

"The situation is now that all parts needed to build the XC40 are available. Suppliers have improved there manufacturing and the supply is on the required level. There are no more parts that are causing delays.
On the parking lots there are still 70x build XC40 left that are missing some parts. The delays seems to be with the interior inlays and some other minor parts.
During the first 2 weeks of the vacation (starts next week) these remaining cars will be finished and shipped to the dealers."

So when production starts again there is no more delay on some options or parts and the parking lots are empty ready for the normal operation to start.. So lets hope that my car that expected to be build on the 10th September will be on time.

Many thanks for your post: what do you mean with "70x"? How many cars are in parking lots? Sorry, I read also in dutch forum (with google translator...) but I cannot understand the amount of cars
