Yeah, I got told the exact same thing, dealer had allocated the cars but could tweak spec/colours.
I just don’t want to be waiting as long as 9 months for mine, as some people have been waiting for that long with their cars!
Hopefully it won’t be pushed back any further than June.
Dealer called earlier today, saying they will add £850 worth of extra options for the inconvience. Don’t know what else they will add like, I’ve specced the car up to the max! 😂

Seems suspiciously quick to come back with a different date but, assuming your dealer/Volvo have just been incredibly efficient, I would say your best source of advice is your dealer - just one single component could be causing the delay.

I did same thing by taking/amending an existing order (took my dealer a few days to confirm my spec hadn't pushed dates back). I had a couple ol Plan Bs in case a heated screen, bendy lights, etc. triggered a delay but, fortunately, didn't have to execute them. Just had yet another confirmation my car still due early April.

P.S: I would spend the £850 on a service plan. They're already good value and could possibly blow any loss from holding onto your current car out of the water.
