Getting rid of a First Edition

I'm considering getting rid of my first edition and moving back up to an XC60. Had an XC60 D5 Polestar before the XC40, was given an XC60 D4 Polestar as a courtesy car for my service last week, and it just felt better. I've started making enquiries about exchanging, got my settlement figure, and can hand my car back without penalty but would have to find a new deposit. BUT.... there is a huge difference (£6K) between the autotrader equivalent second hand FE price and the trade in figure that makes me wonder if the dealer is trying to pull a fast one. Anyone had any experience of selling or trading in an XC40 yet?

Hi James, I'm currently looking to sell my XC40 and as you've said the trade in value and the advertised prices are miles apart!! Luckily I will get my deposit back even at the trade in value so will be handing the car back.
