but where do you have it installed?
I did not install mine yet (the car is delayed :-( ), but planned - due to comments here - install it on passenger side, away from my eyes anyway.
But on the other end, I don't want it to interfere with the passenger sight as well, so I hoped to install it close to the CitySafety (that's its name?) block

Can you post some picture? I plan to install the same cam. Thank you in advance.

Furthermore how it is powered? Are you have the hardwired parking mode option?

Lastly there are some post re the rear cam interfere with the DAB reception, what is you experience?

Thanks again.

Precisely so...it has been in the new position for a few days now...I must say, I haven’t experienced lane keep problem or false collision warning “so far”

Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum and was very interested to read this chat. I've just sold by beloved 2015 XC60 which had a Viofo A119 hardwired in (done by myself) I sold it with the car.
I have an XC40 T4 Inscription Pro on order which should be with me in mid-March (ordered 8th Dec)
Since ordering the XC40 I've done a lot of research on different forums and google searches for a good reasonable priced dashcam which is inconspicuous.
I’ve also spotted the Dutch company selling this, which really caught my eye.
https://www.carcam.nl/product/volvo-dual-dashcam/
I’m sure it will be an excellent dashcam but for me €399 is more than I want to spend as the Viofo was around £50 and excellent for my needs IE. Fit it, forget it. Until the day footage is needed. My daughter found this out and the evidence from the Viofo fitted in her car (done by Dad) was invaluable.
I eventually found this on Aliexpress
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32823403596.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.784a4c4d6WYqbF
My 23 year old son (or IT support as l call him) you know where I’m coming from if you’re in your 50’s like me, said Ail Express are reputable. I’d never heard of them.
For £45 delivered from China I thought a would take a gamble. Well it arrived 3 weeks later.
I’ve hooked it up to my 12v golf battery and have got to say the initial tests I’ve done are excellent. Fitted a 32gb card from Amazon. Image is just as good as the Viofo A119 if not better..
Nothing to mess with on the dashcam itself all done via the app. There is a little bit of pigeon English in the instructions but it’s OK to set up.
Once fitted it should look somthing like this (picture for illustration)

Hope this helps someone?

The image that you give isn't an XC40. The binnacle on the XC40 is much larger and comes down lower that the rear mirror.

The images on the website also look completely the wrong shape/profile to fit on the binnacle that I have on my XC40.

Well, took delivery of my xc40 inscription Pro last Friday. Really enjoying the toys. Got my local auto Electrian to fit the above dash cam (installation cost me £45) I’m very very happy it’s a great fit EmPeeGee 😘 see some pictures just taken.

Mark 123,

Your car cam installation looks very compact and neat. Presumably you are not experiencing any electrical 'noise' interference problems and the wiring must be very well concealed.

Can you advise what type of car cam is installed. By the way, what is that stuff on the window glass ..... we don't see that here in the land of Oz!!

thanks and regards
