Enjoying my XC40 that arrived a few days ago.
One query.......I have the drive mode button on the fascia..so how does hill descent control work? The manual differentiates between models that have the button or not......but doesn't seem to say whether it remains switchable or whether it just comes on in off-road mode. If it does can you adjust the speed of HDC? I've tried it..I think but really not sure how it is controlled

At the risk of talking to myself I have answered my own question. On a recently holiday I thought I'd try this out on some steep hills. It worked well. Just select off road mode and speed of descent is controlled by the accelerator.
