ME & MUDFLAPS

Hi new to this site but not to Volvo, I've had Volvos since 2012, in that time I've owned a C30 T2 R-design and 3 R-design V40's, 3 because 2 were written off in bad accidents (not my fault). I've just ordered my XC40 (T3 R-design with the Xenium pack and the front windscreen winter pack). Also for quite a while I started and ran the very popular Volvo V40 Crew Facebook group which I've now handed on to others who will still have their V40's. (I've started a Volvo XC40 Crew group on facebook also if anyone is interested)
Anyway, I've been looking at add-ons and mods for the XC40 and found some very reasonably priced mudflaps for the car. I got these for the V40 and found them to be superb and made in the same factory with the same part numbers. anyways what do you ala think?

I've just fitted a set, ordered on eBay for £25.99 on 9th February. Arrived on 19th February from China. They seem robust and look great quality, the finish matching the rest of the XC40's lower trim perfectly.

Very easy to fit, and they line up perfectly. Their mounting holes align exactly with the 4 fixing points on each corner of the car, and although the kit comes with fixing screws and anchors, the existing screws can/should be re-used. The only tool needed is a Torx T20 bit, although a very stubby ratchet or driver is needed to get into the gap between the wheelarch lip and the tyre, particularly on the rear. Alternatively, jacking the car up (in safety!) should give the necessary clearance.

I'd post a pic but quite honestly the mudflaps look identical to the OE Volvo ones.

Hope this helps.

I purchased a set of mud flaps for a previous car from AliExpress - fitted perfectly at a fraction of the dealer cost.

Mine have just arrived from China having been ordered on the 15th June. Took about 10 minutes per wheel. Using a mini torx ratchet I didn't even have to turn the front wheels out. They look good and at a fraction of the dealer prices you can't go wrong.
