Rolex against Fake Rolex, quite straightforward, I understand that. If I had the money I'd go for Rolex, I'd never go fake.
But when something is obviously exactly the same, and they really are, I'd go cheaper.
As you say each to their own, so onto other things.

I suppose it may also be an issue with (my) disposable income .
I paid 30k for my T4 AWD RDesign, wouldn't (couldn't ) pay £40k.

I am aware that the cheaper ones are advertised as being made of different materials, if the bumpf is to be believed. If I do buy and they’re not OE, I’ll want them to be made of the most flexible material. Which is what TPE seems to be.
Regardless of all this though, I actually think they really suit the car.
