First of all, Thanks to users on this forum, I read a lot of topics in the 6 months I had to wait for my XC40. I wanted this car since i saw it as a concept car in 2017.

I would purchased it earlier, but first, the company that imports Volvo here in argentina only imported R-designs..at the nifty price of... u$95.000.. + u$2.000 expenses (yes.. crazy, if someone want to know how they reach to that price, ask me and I'll try to explain it)... then, they started to import Momentum t4 AWD for 76.000 + u$2.000 expenses.... and finally, last year, they imported the Kinetic (I'm not sure if you are familiar with that trim... that is the base of the base model... but I'm really happy) so I get one in Thunder grey.

As I said, it's a very basic model, but I managed to do some changes and I love the final result. I'm not a guy who loves to modify cars..(in Argentina you can't customize your car from the factory, the importer decides what trims and what accessories will import) but in this case I had a clear idea of how I wanted my car to look, so... here it is my XC40, just arrived:

The first thing I did (bah, the guys on the car agency) was tint the windows and wrap the roof (r-design style).

then... I ordered to paint (not sure why they couldn't wrap it) the grill frame. (they offer me to paint the whole grill... but I like how the matte-plastic part looked... I just wanted to paint the chrome frame, I was not sure on how it would look, but I love it!

It went from this:

to this:

and lastly, (i want to make it clear, this is my opinion, according to my taste) I never liked the 17" wheels my trim comes width... (I have them now for sale, so I would not expand on why I don't like them, haha) and I love the 19" diamond cut from the momentum... (I like them more than the 20" ones from the R design) So I was thinking on purchase them (I had to wait no less than 30 days) and I received a call from the agency telling me that someone was selling them, with less than 3.000 km of use, so, I bought them, this is how the 17" looked (hey, not bad, I was liking them everyday more):

but I like more how it looks now with the 19" wheels! :

So, my xc40 looks exactly how I want now, I couldn't be more happy!

Taking it from the car dealer to home for first time:

My 2 last cars were Audi A1, which I loved, but I never wanted a car so much like my xc40.

Ok, I hope to help someone with the information a shared here, and if somebody have any question about anything of XC40s just ask me, I struggled a little to get information about some features and I will be more than happy to let you know about my experience with my xc40.

Very smart. I like the black roof, might think about that myself.

Looks really nice, amazing how the paint looks so different from each photo. I think the thunder grey seems to appeal more to a younger market. Good job

Great looking car, the background in the last two images really adds to the effect.
