Hi
I discovered the forum this afternoon. What a superb resource it is with lots of useful information from XC40 owners. I am planning on becoming an XC40 owner myself in a few months time.

I like the higher driving position in an SUV and was attracted to the XC40 by the largely positive magazine reviews. This would be my first Volvo. I am thinking about the B4 Inscription Pro but am unsure whether to go for the FWD or AWD. Almost all of my driving will be on tarmac. I live in Scotland but the winters now are not as bad as they were 20 years ago. Nevertheless my thoughts were that AWD is like insurance - it's good to know it is the there for the rare occasions when it might be required. There appears to be a slight reduction in mpg with the AWD but it looks like it would not result in too much of an increase in fuel costs. I shall be pondering this in the coming days but think I will probably decide on AWD.

Hi.
Have you driven one yet?
I always had Mercedes coupes but needed something with more room when I dropped the seats. Had mine 5 weeks now and have to say I’m enjoying driving it and love all the gadgets. I’m the sort that if there’s a gadget I have to know exactly how to use it. Spent hours in the car in my garage as I didn’t want the neighbors to think I was a numpty :D
Just bear in mind there is usually a long waiting list unless you can find a garage that has the one you want.
Enjoy

Hi Chris
Had a test drive last week and was impressed. I liked the driving position and the overall quality feel to the vehicle both just to sit in and to drive. October or November was mentioned as the delivery date for new orders.
