Glacier Silver

Hi everyone. New here and have just ordered an R design. I’m starting to wonder if ive ordered the right colour. There wasn’t a glacier silver in the showroom and lots of googleing hasn’t thrown much up. My reasons for ordering that colour was that my last 3 cars have been black and although they look great they do show the scratches. The glacier silver did look a bit under coat greyish on the swash outside. Does anyone own this colour (think it’s replaced bright silver)

When I select glacier silver in the current UK configurator, it shows as a slightly darker shade than my bright silver. I quite like the glacier silver as bright silver looks almost white.

Thanks for the reply skyrimmer. That’s what’s worrying me. Thunder grey looks like graphite on the website but on the car it’s it definitely blue grey more towards blue. Was hoping someone on here had a glacier one

I’ve hopefully successfully attached a couple of photos from instagram which shows the Glacier Silver and the Thunder Grey on the XC40. The Glacier Silver looks more white than silver in my view. Bright Silver is no doubt silver. I’d narrowed down my colour choices to these two and I’ve gone for the Glacier Silver on the basis my current vehicle is very much like Thunder Grey. Brilliant thanks for that. The glacier should look good with a black roof. Was worried it was going to come out a pale blue tinge. Worry over

I’ve ordered a glacier for the exact same reasons. I love a black car (last three have been black too). Fancied a change and to get the nice contrast with the roof.

I did find some pics online that stated Glacier, although they do look slightly different from the above.

I think these are bright silver. My glacier silver Rd-pro has arrived the dealer an I have seen it. It is actually whiter and imo nicer than both the bright silver and crystal white

I will pick it up this Friday and will post photos here.
