Adverts on site
Adverts on site
As a new member I recently opened an advertised online survey which popped up on the forum's front page. I have made the assumption that such adverts are probably genuine being on this site. I did the survey giving my personal details and won an Apple iphone 11, but only if I paid £1 using my debit card details and provided my address. Does anyone know whether these type of pop ups on the forum are genuine, or should they be avoided?

I won the Nigerian lottery but haven't received my 57 million dollars despite sending the release fee requested!
Re: Adverts on site
The adverts are provided by Google and I cannot vouch for any of them. Although you would hope Google would verify them.
What I will say is that I would strongly advise against paying out a sum to win a prize. Has scam written all over it.

Agreed. That was my gut feeling. Thanks for the replies.

I got that advert today.
Perhaps the only solution is for a membership fee for the site so that the forum doesn't have to have adverts to cover its costs?
