Hi all, maybe just my car, or me, but is anyone else’s steering wheel misaligned? Mines about 5 degrees anti-clockwise when travelling straight on a flat road. You need quite a camber on the road for the wheel to be centred.

Hi hdasmith, mine is aligned centrally. Hope you get it sorted, I'm sure it must be a bit of an annoyance when driving!

Hi hdasmith

I have exactly the same problem on my car (5 months old). The steering wheel is aligned anti-clockwise even after a steering wheel alignment.
I'm in Cyprus so the steering wheel is on the right side like the UK.
Was the garage able to find a solution for this?

I had the same problem on a new Audi. Took it back and they sorted it out. Apparently it was a manual adjustment and they had to do it by eye.

Hi hdasmith,

Get your vehicle ' 4-wheel aligned' its quite common for incorrect REAR wheel misalignment to show up as steering wheel offset (causes the car to 'crab' when straight-line driving and you automatically compensate for this by moving the steering wheel slightly)...........just a thought!

Dealership sent it off for realignment. Wheels were quite a long way off in every angle! Tracking, toe in, etc. Front and back.

All well now, although I still think the column behind the wheel is off too.

I have exactly the same problem.
the car was aligned twice by the dealer ànd twice by a tyre specialist.
No results, rather irritating...

My uncle had this problem once with a Ford, no matter what was done the wheel was never straight the tyre wear was strange.
eventually it was discovered front suspension items were faulty (fixing holes incorrectly placed going by memory) Ford in the end replaced the car and it was taken to Dagenham factory for investigation

Hi all,

I have exactly same problem on my car which is 10.000 km. First 0 to 10 kilometers the steering wheel stands to the right and the car shifting to the right. After 15 kilometers, everything become a normal, steering wheel stands aligned and the car moves straight.

Registered volvo car service has done tie rod adjustment several time, but the problem still continues.

Anyone of you solve this issue? Or does anyone have still the problem? Please write your final situation.

Best regards
