Seat stitching faults?
Not had that issue myself, do you know which seats it happens on as the r design has different seats to the other models I think

Saw the problem on a new momentum in volvo ayr scotland showroom. Looks like when there is weight of a person sitting in the seat, it pulls the stitching joint... Design issue? Same car also had loose reversing camera fitting on the tailgate.... Salesman wasn't helpful or pleased when I pointed these faults out
Did anyone take this up with their dealer?
The drivers seat on mine is starting to show the same symptoms after 3k miles.
It looks like the stitching is being put under pressure when you’re sat in it.
Whilst its not separated yet you can see it wont be too long before the stitching gives way.

Do you have to put pressure on the surrounding area or move the seat to a weird position to see this or is it easily visible?
I'm wondering if it's wear and tear like you suggest because the plastic is digging into it and if there is something one could do to help delay/prevent it. A bit of tape or adhesive rubber or something?

The seat is in its normal position, only pressure I put on it is via my fat a*** when I sit down
Ive not moved the seat to make the damage more visible either.
It seems the plastic surround holds one part of the seat and my aforementioned backside excerts enough pressure to force the other side down hence applying stretch pressure to the stitching.
