Hello,

My first post so thank you for accepting me on the group. My electronic stability light has come on today its Amber in colour. Firstly how common is this fault and how severe is it?
I honestly cannot be without a car and don't want to risk safety at the same time.

Won’t the dealer give you a courtesy car while it’s looked into?

It’s the traction control, so in dry weather and good roads, not very I wouldn’t have thought. With storm season coming up, I’d get it looked into.

Is the light on permanently or has it only come for short periods? How often has it happened?

It is permanently on now... I started noticing the problem couple of days ago car felt weird on start and stop. Today the light has come on and have got it booked in. But was trying to work out if I will make things worse by continual journeys in the car.

I'm no expert, but it sounds to me that it is probably only a faulty sensor rather than a mechanical fault, but you are right to get it checked out ASAP.

Have you activated sports mode. This is what the manual says,
The driver display indicates activated ESC Sport Mode by displaying this symbol with a constant glow until the function is deactivated or the engine is switched off.
