Sensus to mobile data connection
Hi forum, anyone else having connection issues using the data connection with there mobile phone? When we first had the car I connected my phone and clicked the tab to use the phones internet connection but it's now disconnected and I can't use it.
Are you talking a Bluetooth connection or via USB cable and CarPlay?

What kind of phone are you trying to connect? With an iPhone (I don't know about Android), you'll need to manually re-establish the connection each time. Although I've got loads of data on my phone, it's for that reason I plan to get a cheap SIM for the car as well - too much hassle hot-spotting the phone.

T5 FE Bursting Blue, 19" wheels, no headlamp cleaning. Ordered 24 February, arrived at dealer 25 April, delivered 30 April.
It’s Apple, to save battery. Leaving it on all the time would kill the battery life. If you have other Apple devices, it’s not necessary through Continuity.

Can’t help with that one I’m afraid, but I guess it’s the same as an iPhone, switches off to save battery life. Try switching it back on the phone again, and reconnecting from the car.

You don’t have to turn on the hotspot option on the phone each time you get in the car?

Don’t believe so. Hotspot is only so eg a passenger in the back can use Wifi. But I have an onboard Sim installed so that is my permanent link with the internet.
