Hello, how do you find the radio reception on the FM band?

I often experience static noise, my old V60 did not have that problem.

Am I the only one?

Yes. But DAB seems to switch stations without warning. I am hoping this is a setting I have yet to find.

I’ve noticed that DAB switches stations on its own. Usually in about the same areas, don’t know if it’s a bad signal problem causing station drop out. I haven’t had any problems with static on FM.

DAB in my focus always used to lose signal and select a different station at the same point on my commute.... solved by changing commute

DAB is standard fit though, isn't it? That's what the brochure says.

Maybe in UK, I live in Denmark where it is not standard, and the model I could get do not have DAB, I am not complaining though, I was so lucky to get my hands on a first edition, it is a saving of around 25.000 GBP.

I live in a crazy country with regards to cars, in Denmark you can also get a base version of the XC 40, the cost for this is 49.000GBP—the base version have nearly no equipment… so if you Brits feel that you get ripped off, go to Volvo DK site and try to configure a XC40 😊

Kind regards Morten

Ah, didn’t realise your location! All that money and no standard DAB ☹️ . Strange how different markets work. Is it just not catching on in Denmark? Seems increasingly common in the UK for DAB to be standard fit in cars.

Found the solution:
Settings > Media > deselect auto switch DAB stations.
