New Volvo XC40 will have digital keys, shareable over a phone app and then capable of opening and starting the car via Bluetooth.
Connectivity and infotainment of V90 series will trickle down to new Volvo XC40 series. Electrics are derived from those of the larger model!
Should be fun, I do like playing with tech in cars.
Volvo XC40 will have digital keys
(Assuming you are in the UK) you can relax for the moment, it appears that "Car Sharing is not currently available in the UK."

I think is all about digital keyless sharing
Look at the "It's good to share" box (top left of six) just below the main XC40 picture on the volvo page https://www.volvocars.com/uk/cars/new-models/xc40
I think we still get the remote (buttonless) key tag?

I received the "red key" that (was told at the dealership, read in the manual, and confirmed by Volvo on Call) allegedly is the key used to share the car digitally (when it is left in the vehicle) but no one can help me with actually finding how it is done via the app! There is no place in the app to "send an invitation".
