Oil usage on T5

I have had to put 2 litres of oil in over the last 1100 miles and it is now asking for another litre anyone else had a similar problem?

Never experienced anything like that, sorry, obvious questions any oil on the floor, imo it looks like a sensor problem and if you had a dipstick you could check the bl***y oil level in a few seconds.

Hi Den no oil on floor no smoke from exhaust and as you say a dip stick would be very handy!

Just a thought if it is a sensor problem putting more oil in could overfill the engine that I understand can cause damage to the engine, if i was faced with the same problem I would ring your nearest dealer and get them to check the car out, or if the dealer is fairly close to you I would just turn up

I recall, but I can't remember where I read it, that a faulty crankcase ventilation gubbins can cause this. Definitely a trip to the dealers is needed.
