Drivers seat pealing

Just went to clean the leather drivers seat and discovered the surface is starting to peal around the stitching.

The car is just 2 years old, anyone else had this?

No peeling but at 3 months old my charcoal leather started to show patches of a white substance!! It cleans off with a damp microcloth but reappears soon after.

Dealer reckons I have had something on the seats that has transferred to the leather...I haven't, but they are insistent.

Used to repair damage like this semi-frequently in high mileage cars with the higher quality (more flexible) leather over the harder leather seats. It's not something I'd say is easy to do, but it's possible. Have you been using a good interior cleaner and conditioner for your leather?

Quick update, I have had the seat cover replaced under warranty, looks great and only took 2 hours.

I had exactly the same thing happen on a BMW. It’s a warranty fix.
