hi everyone

Is anyone else having trouble with the remote start ? never had a problem before but it’s refusing to start the car stating there is a ‘problem with the engine’, but the car doesn’t seem to think there is a problem with the engine her neither do I? It is coinciding with a warning on the screen saying that the car is due a service could the two will be related? Thanks for any advice or help in advance

No problems this end.

Do you have a message on the app saying the car has gone in to standby? If the car hasn't been used for 5 days then it goes in to standby to save battery power and the remote start won't work.

Previous thread on the very same subject seems to link to a low car battery

cheers for the replies - nope same as the other poster use the car every day - granted not massively long journeys though so maybe the battery isn’t tip top - i’ll mention it when it’s serviced this week- i have reynauds so the heated steering wheel already warm made life that little bit less painful - thanks again

Ask for the support battery to be checked, your problem might originate from there. More on this topic here: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=2535&p=22434#p22434

that’s great advice - thank you and may be exactly the issue as the stop start stalled the car today (automatic and was a nightmare to get started again and wouldn’t engage drive) heated windows not available and no spotify!

will ring them AM and ask for the check as part of the service

got the car back from its service, PV Dobsons in Grange -excellent service - when it was returned was had affectively been given the full detailing treatment washed vacuumed valeted as part of the service - mentioned what had been said in the forum and they agreed that it was a battery issue apparently it was down 46% on what it should be and this is down to my short journeys during lockdown they suggested trying to do a longer journey if possible Under current regulations not so easy but they did rectify everything Also said that if it recurs they will replace or rectify the battery issue so reassured there thank you again for the comments and support
