When getting into the car this morning I found this spring lying in the driver side footwell. Anyone recognise it and have an idea where it may have come from? Driver’s seat has the under seat drawer. I can’t remember if the handle of the drawer should be spring loaded or not (only used it once when I got the car). Noticed that the handle on mine is floppy, I can pull the drawer out without using the handle. Just wondered if the spring may be associated with that...

Have you got the ejector seat option on yours? Part of one of the crash safety packs I think.

Problem solved. The spring forms part of the locking mechanism of the under seat draw. After removing the drawer it was clear where the spring needed to go. Fitted back in place drawer and handle now work correctly. As usual, an hour to find it, 2 mins to fix it!
