WiFi Vodafone SIM

I cannot activate the Vodafone SIM to move beyond Sep 3 in the above link from Volvo.

Apparently, Vodafone require the IMSI number from the dealer in order to allow them to load the card and to help me register with them.

I’ll post an update when solved.

I did post about this a few months ago but the trick is...

You need the SIM to register on the Voda network and this takes time so refresh the page every 30 seconds. It can take up to 15 minutes so just keep refreshing. Mine took about 7-10 minutes I seem to remember. Just keep going until it connects

I methodically followed the steps that you posted many times. The end result was always ‘Sorry you must be using your cars WiFi hotspot’ on the Vodafone registration page.

I will give it another few tries later.

I can’t get the globe to show (a couple of steps before sim registration

I took mine back to the dealer. Had the salesman and a technician sitting in the car. The technician finally sorted it after about 15 mins. I would have never been able to go through all the steps.

I suggest you go back to the dealer, if it’s part of your deal, and get them to do it.

Just spent the last hour trying again with different devices and browser combinations: iPhone/iPad, Safari/Firefox - no luck.

At least I learned how to check the oil level and discovered the car is fitted with TPMS during the waiting!

Booked in with the dealer for later this week.

That message normally means you are using the devices mobile signal or gone back on to you home wifi and are no longer on the car hotspot.

I will see if I can dig out the instructions I was given by the dealership and post them here

Found these in a search. I can’t seem to get the globe to appear as per instructions on page 2.
