New software is available

Except no it isn't

My car always tells me I have new software available when I start it (it tends to jump on my house wifi) but when I check for system software and application software and maps, there's nothing new. What is going on? It's a bit annoying.

I think I had the software updated in Q3 or maybe Q4 last year (bought it in Feb).

Yes, I get the same message. Only occasionally is there something to update, such as a map or app. Mostly it's a false alarm and nothing shows a need to update.

On mine it was when I only updated the UK maps, I kept getting the message.

In the end I did the whole 50Gb of maps and that solved it.
