Hi

Is it normal for XC40?
Driving in the city, traffic, lights, etc.

I was told by the dealer that after 5000km the dash will show different fuel consumption, but.., why?

Hi. Unfortunately it’s normal for the car in stop start city traffic. Indeed I have seen under 20mpg in heavy traffic.
No car is economical in such conditions. Constant use of low gears and pulling away from a standstill.
On the other hand I have just completed a 350 mile motorway trip at an a average of 35+mpg and even exceeded 40mpg for over half the journey.

Thanks.
Smaller car, like the mini cooper I have, are better in fuel economy (yet worse in anything else)
Just needed to know if there is something wrong :-(
