Fuelling with 2 flaps

Greetings
Has anybody "cracked" fuelling an XC40 yet with Esso or Moririsons fuel pumps. It is currently taking taking 20 MINUTES to put 10 gallons in (sorry I am a Dinosaur). Yep, I have the BIG instruction book (£30!) and am doing what I am told. Should I defect to SHELL?

Thank you

That's an odd one. Have you found it fills OK at Shell or any other fuel retailer? Sounds more like a trip to the dealer under warranty? Mine fills up fine at Tesco!

Also our XC40 T4 Inscription Pro - No problem at BP or Sainsburys pumps ?

Morrisons at Guiseley has just refurbed, so I will try there later in the week, and see if they have pumps with long "snouts" which is what I think is the cause. The other makes I mentioned seem to have very short ones and only just reach the second flap. Not tried SHELL yet!
Otherwise, super dooper! Thanks for replies to date...........

Until now, I had no idea that pumps came with different length spouts and short ones may be problematic. Thanks for giving me 'spout anxiety'

I do have stop start problems with mine. I don’t put the nozzle all the way in, enough for it to rest comfortably on the side, then it fills up fine with any pump.

I’ve tried most brands including Morrison’s and Esso and never had a problem. In fact I wasn’t aware that there was one.

What I have found out, particularly at my local Shell garage, is that if you pull up at a pump which is at the opposite side from the petrol flap on the car, and you have to stretch the hose to reach (i.e. the hose is stretch almost taut), it takes forever to fill, no matter how far you pull the nozzle out of the filler. The first time this happened to me I told the manager and he reckoned this happens all the time if the hose was stretched. I thought he was bullshitting me as it never used to happen with my Audi (mind you, the stretch wasn't as tight with the Audi). But a couple of weeks later it happened again, at a different pump, it took me nearly 5 minutes to get 12 litres in the tank. I gave up and moved to another pump that became free, which was on the same side of the filler, all worked fine.

Success! The refurbed Morrisons at Guiseley (LS20 8PS) has now reopened, and the snouts are visibly extended by 2", so they must read this forum!
Meanwhile the other local Morrisons petrol station is out of bounds for me. Thanks for to all for what could have been a saga, but wasn't!

Haven't found a problem at any garage yet. Used a Tesco this morning which had a very short nozzle (shortest I have seen) and there was no problem at all.
