Tailgate Doesn’t Always Close Properly

My little guy plays hockey so we use the power tailgate all the time and lately I’m noticing that about a third of the time it doesn’t close properly. When I hit the button to close, it goes all the way down but doesn’t latch properly so the display in the car is still showing that the tailgate isn’t closed properly.
Anyone else have this issue?
