Performance is slightly disappointing but the killer for me is lack of AWD. I would never go back to just FWD. I'll need to wait for the Disco Sport if I want a hybrid (which I do) but happy with the D4 R Design I have in meantime.

Haven't found a problem at any garage yet. Used a Tesco this morning which had a very short nozzle (shortest I have seen) and there was no problem at all.

I had the equivalent on my Tiguan but hardly used it after the first playing with new toys. I haven't bothered on my new R Design and am happy with ride.

I have one but haven't been to France yet since I got my XC40 a week ago! On my Tiguan and other cars it didn't seem to matter where it was as sometimes my wife just held it up in a hire car and it worked. I have Intellisafe pro so it may different if you don't. If you press the arrow to the left of the steering wheel button it scrolls through CC, ACC and Pilot Assist. That is appalling. If my dealer tried that after the original brochure was wrong then I would be rejecting the car or at least threatening to until I was offered a decent compensation package. I would write to Volvo direct and complain.
