Re: Free DATA for MY2020

So if you have a MY2019 bought this year do you miss out?

Re: Is the XC40 a noisy car?

interesting reviews. Why can't UK reviews give hard facts like noise levels etc?

Re: Is the XC40 a noisy car?

I moved to a D4 R Design two months ago from the equivalent VW Tiguan. Much quieter all round and smoother drive too. I really like it but do find the touchscreen controls a bit fiddly - I would have preferred a few knobs. Mind you the voice control is streets ahead of the VW and the Audi I had befo...

Re: XC40 plug-in hybrid now available!

Performance is slightly disappointing but the killer for me is lack of AWD. I would never go back to just FWD. I'll need to wait for the Disco Sport if I want a hybrid (which I do) but happy with the D4 R Design I have in meantime.

Re: Fuelling with 2 flaps

Haven't found a problem at any garage yet. Used a Tesco this morning which had a very short nozzle (shortest I have seen) and there was no problem at all.

Re: 4C active damping comfort.

I had the equivalent on my Tiguan but hardly used it after the first playing with new toys. I haven't bothered on my new R Design and am happy with ride.

Re: Driving in France - toll roads

I have one but haven't been to France yet since I got my XC40 a week ago! On my Tiguan and other cars it didn't seem to matter where it was as sometimes my wife just held it up in a hire car and it worked. Mind you a bit hairy driving up to barrier first time in each car not knowing if it would work...

Re: Question re cruise control & ACC

I have Intellisafe pro so it may different if you don't. If you press the arrow to the left of the steering wheel button it scrolls through CC, ACC and Pilot Assist. When you are on the one you want press the button and you should get it. I find ACC great but can't get on with Pilot Assist so its a ...

Re: Boot opening daft question

That is appalling. If my dealer tried that after the original brochure was wrong then I would be rejecting the car or at least threatening to until I was offered a decent compensation package. I would write to Volvo direct and complain.

Re: MPG - Again :-)

Sensible reply johnd. I get fed up with all this talk of PDF problems. I have had PDFs on Audi and VWs for years and only on the first some 10 years ago did I have a problem. I regularly do short journeys of 1-3 miles for a couple of weeks at a time without problem although I do long runs 250-400 mi...
