Re: New to Volvo - help with climate and remote start
Yeah, sadly 10 degrees is the magic number. I don't like that either especially on windy days but it is what it is. It's very useful in the sumer too, as it will blow air from outside and refresh the cabin (if you don't start the engine) or properly cool it down (if you start the engine). Not sure i...

Re: New to Volvo - help with climate and remote start
The seat/steeringwheel heaters start when weather is below 10 degrees only. I do have a suspicion the weather shown in-app (Volvo Cars) is actually pulled from the iOS / Android weather system. As such, in some cases you might see outside temp as 8-9, but the car won't heat due to feeling it as a 1...

Re: MY21 only 1 main key confirmed
it was discussed just a page behind As previous replies, you need to buy a regular black key. This is a fairly recent change in policy in the US, since the previous replies. You can now call any US dealership and have the Orange key reprogrammed for free under the Volvo Factory warranty. The warrant...

Re: Volvo’s Integrated Running Boards
Those boards look really good and i think they complement the car well! I'm considering them as our soon-to-be-newbord will probably need in a few years, but what worries me as it happened on other cars with boards (i did not own) is when getting out, they tend to touch the back of your pants and yo...

Re: Key fob battery replacement
Releasing 1st cover will get you to the emergency key *AND* a second pin that needs to be pulled to remove the opposite cover. That's where the battery is, and it's clearly shown in the manual too

Re: XC40 gearbox
Yes, but how do you coast with a torque converter? This is what puzzles me about the statement that it's a regular TC auto box, as it's whole behaviour matches my experience of DSG's. The B4/5 box is deffo TC, the T4/5 is DC... AS to not explaining the coasting, there would be many options... Clutc...

Re: Faults - Worried!
I think the RDesign comes with larger brake calipers that limit you to 19"+ , but on the other trims you can downsize to 18 if you'd prefer. Possibly even lower though your garage will be able to help there.
