Re: What have you just found out about your XC40.

No USB or anything else, though to be fair i didn't need the card so it sat there for close to a year most probably. Maybe it got softened by cold/warm cycles during winter, who knows. Not bothered too much about especially now with contactless up to £100. And card details can always be inputted on ...

Re: Brake Pads

Am not and never have been and don't care a hoot anyway - simply responding to points raised i.e. blastpipe hadn't heard of energy efficiency of brakes, so explained the theory - however, having driven many many cars the XC40 is a first for me to have a reverse logic to brake wear - i.e. rear's wea...

Re: What have you just found out about your XC40.

Given today's technology, i don't see an issue with leaving the card in? Mine has exactly £0 and when needed i'll transfer some money from my other bank via phone app. Takes all of 20 seconds. Besides that, it will alert me if it's used in a different location than my phone, and it takes another 5 s...

Re: Brake Pads

Re-gen has nothing to do with brakes, Oldie! Quite the opposite actually. Besides that, OP has a T3. I did manage to get about 15k miles (a lot of city driving) out of my T4 AWD - haven't replaced yet on the back but they're at 90%. I did get into a row with the service as they told be i was at 60% ...

Re: What have you just found out about your XC40.

Is your car equipped with wireless charging pad? I wonder if that’s causing the heat since I never had my credit card damaged in that slot (no wireless charging pad in my car). It is, however heat is generated only when the phone is in the cradle (rarely in my case) and there would be a good 6-8cm ...

Re: What have you just found out about your XC40.

While this was i think discussed before, PLEASE don't use it for credit cards. If a loyalty card, and the 2 slots near the steering wheel aren't enough, that's cool. But for cards that have to go in an ATM that place is bad, as it heats up and bends cards. I've had mine bent quite bad, luckily it's ...

Re: Hill assist

There's no fix for it - i've checked it with Volvo and apparently the hillstart only engages when the engine stops. It's incredibly counterintuitive and i see no reason whu this would happen, but you'll learn to live with it.
It rolls back very little before power gets to the wheels

Re: Panoramic Roof for R Design Pro

I think it really comes up to 4 things: - interiour colour - black or blonde? If black, the extra light is welcomed, without being as distracting in strong sunlight as the blonde is - how much you enjoy driving through the countryside with the roof open. certainly not worth for city traffic, though ...

Re: Dash cam recommendations

I got a Blackvue 750 on mine. Installed at RoadRadio and they can also send a van to deliver and install, though i realise it only covers a limited region. I'd say go for the 2ch one! Always worth having your back covered too, and a good fitter will hide the cables real well so you won't even know i...

Re: Tyres

Mine came with PZero's; 2 years in and 14k miles, i'm down to 5mm on all front, and 5mm on rear outside and inside, with 6mm rear middle for some reason.
Can't complain at all! I'll probably try CrossClimate when i need to change, but if unhappy i'll know to revert to PZero
